Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat!
My name is Emma Mae, Emma for short. I am a 9 year old, DSH Dilute Tortie female cat. I was found along the side of a busy road and my rescuer at first thought I was "road-kill", until I moved! I was taken to the vet, where it was found that I was suffering from hypothermia. It was also discovered that I had severe gingivitis and I ended up having 12 teeth removed ( I was also missing several teeth). I now have about 2 teeth left so need mostly a soft/wet food diet. Not to worry, my appetite is good, and I have no problem meowing endlessly to let you know I want to be fed! Despite all of my past issues, I am very sweet and affectionate. I like to give "kitty kisses" and will lick you. I obviously was someone's pet at some point. I am also a bit of a talker. I love attention and will cuddle up with you and take all the love you are willing to give. I am an older girl, so I'm not extremely playful, but I do love a catnip toy. I like to sit on the cat tree and look out the window to see what is going on. I have been around other cats at my foster home, but I don't really seem to like them. I will growl/hiss if they get too close, and I definitely do not like to share my food. I have a weird habit of holding my tail straight up and curving it over my back when I walk, and my mom says my face always looks a little "dirty" and grumpy. I have also developed an interest in human food and am always interested in trying to share whatever you have! My mom has discovered that I really like cheese. I will probably do best in a home that does not have young children or other cats. Will you be the one to give me the life of love I deserve? If you are interested in meeting or adopting Emma Mae, please contact her foster, Sue at 419-250-0846.
The adoption fee is 50% off when Humans 50+ years or older adopt a Cat 5 years or older.
