In addition, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have legal identification with your current address
  • Understand that Planned Pethood reserves the right to refuse any foster application
  • Understand that submitting an application does not guarantee you will foster an animal

landlord, leasing company and/or condo association is contacted.

EVENT, PLEASE BRING A COPY OF YOUR LEASE.

CODE OF CONDUCT

This Code of Conduct outlines the general conduct required of any person representing Planned Pethood; including, but not limited to, all employees, board members, volunteers and fosters.

Each person bound by this Code of Conduct will read, agree to, abide by and sign the Code when it is enacted. All future employees, board members, volunteers and fosters will read, agree to, abide by and sign the Code of Conduct at the beginning of their tenure.

The Code of Conduct applies whenever and wherever the people bound by it are at a PPI-sponsored event or representing PPI in any capacity or conversation.

1. DRESS CODE

  1. You should be neat and clean when representing Planned Pethood, with proper
        attention to personal hygiene and clothing in good repair. Allowance will be made
        for the effects of dealing with the animals.
  2. One PPI T-shirt will be provided by the organization to each volunteer (and every
        member of the family that volunteers) and must be worn to adoption events.
        Additional shirts may be purchased at a nominal cost. Volunteers who do not have
        or have forgotten their T-shirts will wear a PPI apron, which must be returned that
        day.

2. PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES

  1. If you are asked and agree to do something, please follow through.
  2. Volunteers should be willing to work and help where needed. Remember that some
        volunteers have limitations and assist in other ways.
  3. Always work within the confines of the law.

3. HONESTY, TOLERANCE, and SOCIABILITY are first and foremost.

  1. Be honest with program coordinators, each other and potential adopters.
  2. Practice tolerance.

4. PUBLIC IMAGE

  1. Appearance must comply with dress code.

5. INTERACTIONS AMONG PPI REPRESENTATIVES

  1. Be polite to each other, refrain from possibly offensive language.
  2. Settle disputes in private, away from the adoption area.
  3. Be respectful and use positive communication among volunteers and others, being
        sensitive to other people's needs.

6. BEHAVIOR TOWARD PUBLIC

  1. Maintain a professional demeanor.
  2. Smile, introduce yourself, be helpful.
  3. Refrain from using offensive language.
  4. Do not overtly disagree with people who are potential donors, adopters or
        volunteers.

7. RESULTS OF BREACHES OF CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. Handled first privately, on a personal level.
  2. Review of Code
  3. Reported to and mediated by the head of the program involved or that person's
        designee.
  4. Referred to President of the Board of Directors
  5. Sanctions for continuous and grievous infractions will result in a review of the
        volunteer's status and possible probation and/or termination.

  6. INSURANCE RELEASE FORM

    By signing below, you are indicating that you have answered all questions truthfully and are aware that any false answers will be grounds for immediate rejection. You also give Planned Pethood, Inc. permission to contact your veterinarian and/or landlord, giving them permission to speak with us.
