ADOPT A PET

Mama Maria is an incredibly loving and gentle young cat, believed to be just about a year old. Though still very much a playful kitten herself, she’s been a devoted and attentive mama to her litter. She keeps a close eye on her babies, often guiding them away from trouble, even dragging them out of her litter box when necessary (they have a special kitten-safe setup for little ones still exploring with their mouths!).

Maria has a soft, calm presence and loves to be near her people, especially during quiet moments. She naps often, sleeps well through the night, and usually starts her day around 5 a.m. for breakfast. Though only once has the whole crew decided 1 a.m. was playtime.

She does have a funny little habit of trying to steal food that isn’t hers (we’re working on that!), but her affectionate nature and gentle spirit more than make up for it. She adores being petted, snuggling close, and simply being loved.

Maria would make a wonderful addition to a calm, loving home and one that appreciates a sweet soul who’s given her all to her kittens and is now ready for a forever family of her own.

Please note: this cat has potentially not yet received their initial medical evaluation and/or spay/neuter surgery. We encourage you to submit an application while we wait for a full picture of their health to share with you. Adoptions will be finalized once Planned Pethood processes have all been fully satisfied. Your patience with our new process is greatly appreciated. We are trying to enhance our process in order to find new homes more quickly and to cut down on the amount of time an animal is in our program. All of our cats and kittens have been tested for FIV, FeLk and parasites (and treated, if needed). Our adoption fee includes those tests, spay/neuter, flea preventative and all age-appropriate shots (including Rabies).
