Brody
Meet Brody!
Brody is a 35-pound scruffy sweetheart who appears to be a Wirehaired Pointing Griffon mix, and he has all the charm, energy, and intelligence that comes with those breeds. He’s been thriving in his foster home and is now looking for an adopter who can appreciate his playful nature and help him continue to build confidence.
Brody loves people and does well with kids, though his enthusiasm means he may accidentally knock over smaller children. He is extremely treat-motivated, eager to please, and responds well to guidance. On leash, he can react to other dogs but takes correction nicely with a confident handler who uses treats and calm direction. While he initially seemed unsure around the resident dogs in his foster home, he is making steady progress. With slow, thoughtful introductions, Brody shows that he can gain confidence and coexist more comfortably. He also participated in playgroup when he was at the shelter, which shows he has the potential to succeed around other dogs when he feels safe and supported.
Brody is fully potty trained and hasn’t had a single accident in his foster home. He also settles beautifully in a crate overnight and when his foster family leaves the house. His favorite moments, though, are when he gets to run and play. Brody is an athletic, energetic dog who would thrive with a running partner or a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs. He loves agility-style movement, and he’s a natural retriever — he’ll chase a ball, bring it right back, and proudly drop it at your feet for a treat.
Brody will flourish with an adopter who is confident, consistent, and excited to continue his training while giving him plenty of exercise and positive outlets for his energy. He’s a smart, loyal, goofy boy who just wants someone to help him grow into his best self. If you’re looking for a loving, athletic companion who’s full of heart and personality, Brody may be the perfect match - fill out an application today! Six weeks of Zoom Room training is included with his adoption fee to set him (and you!) up for success.
