Lily Trace is a beautifully sweet chocolate girl who has already come so far on her journey. As a puppy mill survivor, life hasn’t always been kind to her — but she is learning what love, safety, and comfort truly feel like. She recently completed heartworm treatment and is almost finished with her vetting under Planned Pethood!

Lily is a quiet, calm, and observant dog who thrives in a home with other dogs. She doesn’t play or interact much with them yet, but she enjoys following their lead and finds confidence in their presence. She also does well with children and cats — she may not run up for attention, but she is gentle, tolerant, and slowly learning that people can be trusted.

This girl is just beginning to show who she really is. Her foster family has already celebrated huge milestones — she now eats in front of her foster mom, and they’ve even seen a few joyful tail wags in the yard. She’s fully potty trained, though she does best with a little encouragement to go outside and a quick walk into the yard when it’s time. Every day she grows a little braver.

Lily will blossom beautifully in a patient and understanding home — one that will give her time, kindness, and space to come out of her shell. She has survived so much, and you can see in her eyes that she wants to trust. With love and consistency, she will reward her person with quiet loyalty, gentle sweetness, and a lifetime of gratitude.
