Kiki - ADOPTED
Kiki is a puppy mill survivor who is still learning to trust humans. She loves food, birdwatching and other dogs. She will need a home with lots of patience and love. Kiki is a 3 1/2 year old 17 lb pomsky (Pomeranian/husky mix) that was rescued from a puppy mill. Three years in a puppy mill were not kind to Kiki and as a result she has some quirks. She has improved, but she is now on Reconcile, a prescription. She gets 1 tablet a day with her morning meal and she won't let you forget. And if you need help getting out of bed in the am Kiki could be your girl. No sleeping in with Kiki in the house! When the sun is up Kiki thinks it's time to get up and going or she will get you going by knocking things on the floor, barking at the birds, or opening cabinets that you thought you had dog proofed. Now you might think that Kiki is really an attention hog. In fact she is not. She prefers to keep people at a distance. In her world people are only good for feeding her and taking her outside. But Kiki loves dogs (we don't know how she is with cats). Her only problem with other dogs is she can't take hints when other dogs aren't into playing with her.
Kiki needs to have another dog or two that would like to be her friend. She also needs a fenced-in yard as she is not a fan of collars and leashes. Walks in the park are not an option for her as she is a flight risk and if she'd escape the only way she would be caught is with a trap. No young children with her adoption. She is house broke, but does have accidents when you aren't quick enough to let her out in the am. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Kiki, please complete an application.
