Dutch is shy and somewhat independent. He likes to sleep curled up with any of his litter mates. He is indifferent with dogs in can cohabitate with them. He gets along with all other cats or one of his litter mates. Dutch would do well with older children and with at least one more cat in the home. Dutch doesn't really play a whole lot. He would rather kick back and relax! Duncan and his brother Dutch have tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is transmitted by deep bite wounds - not through litterbox, food or water. As long as an FIV infected cat is in a stable home environment where the cats aren't aggressively fighting, the risk of transmission is very low. FIV cats can live long, healthy and happy lives, and FIV is not transmittable to humans or dogs. If you already have an FIV cat and are looking for a friend for them, or if you would only have one cat in your home, we encourage you to give an FIV cat the opportunity for a loving, stable home environment!
