Item #

Angel had a rough start. She showed up all alone at her foster home, very underweight, and with a very serious eye infection. Everything possible was done in an attempt to save her eye but it was too severely damaged. On top of this, Angel also tested positive for FIV. After a lot of tender loving care from her vet and foster family, Angel is a terrific kitty both playful and loving. She gets along great with the dogs and cats in her foster home and loves to be carried around and loved on! Note: Angel is special needs as he tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is transmitted by deep bite wounds - NOT through litterbox, food or water. As long as an FIV-infected cat is in a stable home environment where the cats aren't aggressively fighting, the risk of transmission is very low. FIV cats can live long, healthy and happy lives, and FIV is not transmittable to humans or dogs. If you already have an FIV cat and are looking for a friend for them, or if you would only have one cat in your home, we encourage you to give an FIV cat the opportunity for a loving, stable home environment!
