Sammy is a Black Labrador Retriever mix who is approximately 1 year old. Sammy is a very affectionate, loving dog who LOVES having his ears rubbed. He is an energetic boy who will need a family that loves to be active as much as he does! He wants nothing more than to be right next to you, and so he sometimes barks in his crate if he is lonely. He quiets down when he hears, "Sammy, hush!" Sammy also loves to calm down and cuddle, but he needs to burn off some energy before he can do that. His foster mom says he is a 3 month old puppy trapped in a big dog's body! There are young children in his foster home and he likes them, but he has a tendency to sometimes knock them down when he's being silly. Sammy is also learning that play biting isn't as fun as he thinks it is, so he would probably be best suited for a home with children over the age of 5. Sammy is almost completely housebroken and knows his basic commands. He is extremely food motivated, which makes it easy to teach him new things!
