Monty

What a sweet sweet boy Monty is. At a little over a year he is energetic outside but calms down inside. Monty came to us from a kill shelter in southeast Ohio and after a week in foster home he has decompressed and settling in. He loves to be with you and foster Mom is still learning more about his personality. In the first week he no longer jumps up on you and waits back from door when people enter. He’s never had an accident in house since day one and will pace a little to let you know he needs to go out. He loves to gnaw on his bones but still needs to be monitored for things that he shouldn’t have. He’s still a puppy, afterall. Doesn’t necessarily chew on them but collects them. He sleeps thru the night and goes out first thing. He waits for you to tell him his food is ready to eat after setting it down. Foster mom is working on crate training and walking on a leash. He seems to be a fast learner and is treat motivated. Monty may benefit from a pal but will definitely need something to expend his energy – maybe you’re looking for a running mate. He’s fast. Loves to chase the birds and squirrels and rarely barks. Sensitive to loud voices and noises.
Foster mom has 3 cats and after a week he is learning that they don’t want to play.
